  • How to fill in the application to participate in state grant contest?

    1. Before applying, select your favorite educational program at Satbayev University, corresponding to the relevant subjects in which you passed UNT.

    2. Write down for yourself the code (column “Groups of educational programs” in the table) of the group of educational programs that includes the program you have chosen.

    3. Indicate the group code and code of Satbayev University (Kazakh National Research Technical University named after K.I. Satpayev) in the application for a grant: 029.

Program trains highly qualified specialists in demand with deep scientific and technical knowledge and practical skills in the modern metallurgical industry and scientific research.

Undergraduates master a wide range of relevant and advanced disciplines, covering both fundamental and applied aspects of metallurgy. Program provides students with competencies in the field of analysis and optimization of metallurgical processes, materials science, design of metallurgical systems and the use of advanced digital solutions. During their studies, undergraduates master scientific research methods, participate in project and production activities, and acquire engineering analysis and critical thinking skills.

Undergraduates endure practical training at leading enterprises of the industry, including such companies as Kazakhmys, Kazatomprom, Kazzinc, Ust-Kamenogorsk Titanium and Magnesium Combine, Kazmehanobr, Institute of Metallurgy and Enrichment, KAZ Minerals Aktogay and others.

Program actively supports academic mobility and international cooperation: scientific internships are provided at universities and research centers in Russia, the USA, Canada, Germany, Sweden, Slovakia and Turkey, such as Colorado School of Mines (USA), Rhenish-Westphalian Technical University of Aachen (Germany) or Suleiman Demirel University (Turkey).

The training is conducted by leading teachers and practitioners in the industry, and undergraduates gain access to up-to-date laboratory facilities and participate in real research and production projects.

Program is focused on supporting graduates' career growth, from engineering and design positions to managerial roles in industry and scientific organizations.

Graduates of the program work in metallurgical, engineering and mining companies, research institutes, design bureaus and industrial management bodies, occupying positions of engineers, researchers, technologists and heads of departments.
