2,350 grants were allocated for school graduates and students by “Kazakhstan Khalkyna” Foundation
“Kazakhstan Khalkyna” Foundation made a decision to increase the number of grants under "Educational grants of “PF Kazakhstan Khalkyna Foundation" charitable program. In total, up to 2,350 grants will be allocated for students and entrants on Bachelor programs, as well as a fixed scholarship amount of 40 thousand tenge has been set.
Initially, it was planned to allocate 360 grants, but due to the large number of applications, the given number was increased.
Registration of applications from entrants and students within the framework of implementing "Educational grants of Kazakhstan Khalkyna" charitable program for awarding the grants has already started.
The number of educational grants and scholarships for entrants has been increased to 10 grants for each university, national universities (such as Satbayev University) has received up to 20 grants.
The total number of Foundation’s educational grants and scholarships for entrants of 2022-2023 academic year will comprise 850. Foundation provides grants with scholarships for the entrants who have not received a state or other grant to pay for higher education under Bachelor programs in the following categories:
- from low-income rural families;
- persons related to orphans and left without parental care until adulthood;
- persons with limited abilities, including those with disabilities.
It should be noted that grants are awarded to applicants who have passed UNT and scored the necessary passing score for admission to the university based on its results.

Applicants (entrants) for an educational grant from "Kazakhstan Khalkyna" Public Foundation submit their applications to Admission Committee of the selected organization of higher and postgraduate education in the period from August 10 to August 17, 2022. The selection of applicants for a grant from "Kazakhstan Khalkyna" Public Foundation is carried out by Admission Committee operating at universities within the framework of implementing the educational grants.
Students studying in fee-based departments of universities are also given the opportunity to continue their studies at the expense of “Kazakhstan Khalkyna” Foundation’s funds. The amount of educational grants for existing students at universities has been increased to 1,500, without determining the quota for each higher educational institution.
The students, are eligible to take part in the contest, who are:
- with limited abilities, including those with disabilities;
- orphans or left without parental care until adulthood;
- from low-income rural families;
- from single-parent families raising children with disabilities;
- students whose parents/parent are persons with disabilities.
To receive a grant and scholarship from "Kazakhstan Khalkyna" Public Foundation, students submit online applications from August 1 to August 25 at "Taiburyl" website. The limit on the cost of training is up to 1 million tenge for each student-grantee, if the annual cost of training of a student exceeds 1 million tenge, the difference, that is, the amount exceeding 1 million tenge, must be paid by the student-grantee themselves.
Grantees must comply with the academic requirements of the host university and are required to complete a full course of study during the program. Failure to comply with the given condition may be the reason for the termination of financial support.
In "PF Educational grants of Kazakhstan Khalkyna" charity program, 79 universities and 2 charitable organizations in the field of education participate: EO "Taiburyl" and "KazHLU Endowment" corporate fund.
