About historical data in ancient Kazakh writing

On 8 December 2021, a regular scientific-methodological seminar was held at the Department of Kazakh and Russian Languages of the Institute of General Education named after Akzhan Mashani of Satbayev University. The department staff and visiting Professor actively participated  in its work.

Firstly, professor of the Central University (China, Beijing), Ph.D. Duysenali Abddilashimuly, made a presentation "The written heritage of the Kazakh nation: khans’, sultans’ and neighboring governors’ correspondence’ significance". Professor Abdilashimuly provided his report with textual and statistical data from the Kazakh khans’ written heritage, and also gave a comprehensive description of the ancient Kazakh writing in past centuries. The scientist proved the topicality of studying "Ancient Kazakh writing"; analyzed fragments from the Kazakh khans’ letters; emphasized on the manuscripts’ content and vocabulary features from Arabic, Parsid, Kazakh languages used in the text of letters. The topic aroused keen interest and heated discussion among linguistic scientists, attending the seminar.

Secondly, in order to exchange scientific experience, Department’s associate professor Uldar Isabekova made a presentation on topic: "The definition of the concept "horse" in Kashgari works (based on proverbs and sayings)."

In conclusion of the scientific-methodological seminar, after listening and discussing reports on topical issues of Kazakh lexicology and lexicography, it was suggested: the fascinating facts and ideas presented in the reports of scientists should be optimally used in the educational process for the developing students' creative, critical thinking and improving their scientific researches with them.
