Academic Council’s second meeting took place at Satbayev University

On October 28, Academic Council’s second meeting took place at Satbayev University.

Attestation Commissions’ work results for 2020-2021 academic year were reviewed. 1015 Bachelor graduates as well as 467 Master’s graduates successfully completed their studies in 2021. Academic Council set the task for specialization-offering departments to more widely practice group forms of graduation papers and projects, to develop digitalization of the graduation process at all its stages, starting from theme selection to final work defense, to actively attract reviewers from among highly qualified specialists in the production sector, future employers.

Next, the issue of approving dissertation topics and research supervisors for undergraduates of the first study year, research supervisors for doctoral students of the first study year was considered. A significant share of the themes under consideration are the ones proposed by the university's partners in the field of science and production that determines the scientific and practical significance of the work performed and, consequently, the higher competitiveness of university graduates.

In continuation of the issue related to financial support for students, was considered at Academic Council’s first meeting, in which Provision of discounts for educational services and financial incentives for students was approved as well, 72 candidates of students from socially vulnerable segments of the population, as well as from among students who showed special success in studies, science, were considered. In total, 49 million tenge will be allocated from University budget in the current academic year for these purposes.

Rector of University Begentayev M.M. noted that University will continue to develop programs to support the talented youth.
