Additional incentives for research activities
Satbayev University has allocated 60 million tenge for scientists to publish their articles in highly rated journals. The university has approved a program aimed at stimulating publication activity in 2022.
- We discussed with our scientists a variety of ways to improve the quality and quantity of scientific research. The allocation of additional funding will also have a targeted effect on increasing the recognition of the university in the world scientific community," said Alibek Shokparov, Vice-Rector for Science and International Cooperation.
In October 2021, University Academic Council approved "Regulations on remuneration of employees and students of Kazakh National Research Technical University named after K. I. Based on the document, payments to scientists will be made twice a year, in June and December.
In 2021, 67 applications were received from University's scientists, of which 48 were recognized as meeting the criteria. The total amount to be paid was about 14 million tenge.
Consideration and analysis of applications is conducted by Department for Development of Intellectual Property and Publication Activity at Satbayev University Department of Science.
