Advanced scientific and production seminar, the opening of the possessed class of SPC "GEOKEN" and the student's professional game "Oil Game"

The following persons took part in the events:  academic staff, undergraduates and PhD of Geophysics Department, Bekbotaeva A.- head of GSMD department, "SEG"-student society of geophysicists, invited specialists from operation and services companies.

The event began with "SPC"Geoken" LLP possessed class opening ceremony. This company used to support the educational process, material and technical base of the Geophysics Department: provided students and undergraduates with scientific internships and practices, engaged in their employment, awarded personal scholarships to the best students and teachers, donated geophysical equipment and technical training equipment. Joint implementation of research and production projects and reports are planned.

Presentations covered a wide range of modern geophysical works within the framework of the scientific and production seminar:

1. "The role of gravity and magnetic surveys in the modern geological prospecting process" (Kovrizhnykh P.N. - First Deputy General Director of  "SPC"Geoken"LLP, Candidate of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences);

2. "Geodynamic monitoring of subsoil in the territory of Buzachi deposit" (Li L.V. - Head of department of "SPC"Geoken" LLP, Candidate of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences);

3. "Database interpretation and geological modeling" (Akhmetzhanov A.Zh. - Chief Geophysicist of "Adaoil" LLP, Candidate of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences);

4. "The VSP application in solving geological problems" (Igimbaev U.A., Nazarov E.S.- leading geophysicists of "Dank" LLP );

5. "Gathering and analysis of geophysical information for the purpose of database forming and creating digital models of hydrocarbons in Kazakhstan" (Zhylkibaeva G.A. - PhD student of KazNRTU after K.I. Satpayev).

According to the results of the student's professional "Oil game" the representatives of the SPE KBTU took the first place; second place - SEG KBTU; the third place was awarded to SEG KazNRTU.
