Aksakals are a symbol of wisdom, development and independence of our country

The first meeting of "Aksakaldar Alkassy" was held at Satbayev University, which noted the merits of aksakals in establishing the Independence of our country and their role in the university life.

"Aksakaldar Alkassy" is an association of famous scientists that gives them the opportunity to use their rich experience in scientific, pedagogical and social fields of the university.

Council of Elders solves important issues of university life. The elders gathered at the meeting heard Board Member’s report - Vice-Rector for Corporate Development and Strategic Planning Yerzhan Kuldeyev "On the Situation of Aksakaldar alkassy.” Ulykpan Sydykov was elected “Aksakaldar alkassy"Chairman.

The meeting approved the action plan, as well as the first drafts of the Council. The participants unanimously decided to publish the books of Council’s members. The given books are devoted to university’s history, and to assign the assembly hall the status of Science and Culture Center named after Dossym Suleyev.

The participants highly appreciated the activities of university’s honored scientists and presented them with Gold medals named after Kanysh Satbayev and personalized gifts in honor of Independence Day of Kazakhstan. The achievements of such famous scientists as Ulukpan Sydykov, Marzhan Nurpeissova, Bolat Kuspangaliyev, Bayan Rakishev, Alexey Tsekhovoy, Aliya Baikonurova, Assanali Ashimov and Adilkhan Baybatsha were noted as well.
