An evening dedicated to the work of the great Kazakh poet Makhambet
The Kazakh and Russian Languages Department organized an evening led by the «In principio erat verbum» Club («At the Beginning was the Word») as part of the state program. «Modernization of public consciousness: spiritual renewal, dedicated to work of the great Kazakh poet Makhambet-batyr.
Students of the Kazakh and Russian departments of all university institutes participated in the organization of the event. On the hall of the 1st floor of the MEB, Makhambet’s, Olzhas Suleymenov’s and Mukhtar Shakhanov’s poetry were performed, devoted to the poet together with songs about the independence of Kazakhstan, accompanied by dombra and kobyz.
The head of the Kazakh and Russian Languages Department (A. Uderbaev) spoke about the contribution of Makhambet in the development of Kazakh literature of the XIX century. At the end of the evening the leaders of the Club (N. Tankieva, A. Jumasheva) called on students-spectators to participate actively in the work of the Club.
