Call for applications to Suleyman Demirel University
Admission to the Mevlana exchange grant program for one semester 2020-2021 academic year at Süleyman Demirel University (Turkey) is open. Satbayev University students, lecturers (Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Teacher) and Research Assistants can participate in the program. Researchers may only participate as students.
Who can participate?
1. Bachelor Degree Students
- Current students of 1st and 2nd year of study (who will be doing their 2nd and 3rd year next academic year) or students of 3rd year of 5 years program;
- GPA not less than 2.5 for the whole period of study.
2. Master's Degree Students
- Current students of 1st year of study (whose study program is designed for 2 years);
- GPA not less than 3.0 for the whole period of study.
3. PhD students
- Current students of 1st and 2nd year of study;
- GPA not less than 3.0 for the whole period of study.
For Academic Year 2020-2021, Turkish Council of Higher Education (YOK) will pay 1300 TL for incoming students per month. The scholarship covers the tuition fee of one semester and the scholarship is given for the period of 4 months, the rest of the expenses are attributed to student.
80% of the scholarship is paid to students per month after their arrival to SDU. The rest of the scholarship will be paid based on the ratio of total credits of the succeeded courses to the courses that the student is obliged to take. The scholarship includes only for four months.
4. Instructors
- for a period of two weeks to three months;
- reading the course for at least 6 hours per week.
Professors, associate professors, assistant professors are given 55 TL and lecturer 45 TL per day in order to cover their daily expenses. Futhermore, 3500 TL is given to cover the travel cost.
