Chairman of Board of Science Foundation visited Satbayev University to get acquainted with innovative projects
Kamil Akatov, Chairman of Board of Science Foundation, paid a working visit to Satbayev University and met with University’s leading scientists to get acquainted with the latest developments of University in mining and unmanned aerial systems sphere.
The scientists made detailed presentations of their developments. Professor Serik Moldabayev presented his project on introducing the method of intensification of mining operations with steep-slope layers as part of work in the field of open-pit mining of deep-lying ore deposits. The given innovative approach promises to improve the efficiency of mining.
Alexey Oxenenko, PhD, presented advanced technologies in the field of UAVs used in precision agriculture. He revealed in detail all the possibilities of using this technology, demonstrating the progressive solutions for agriculture.
During the visit, Kamil Akatov also held a working meeting with University administration and got acquainted with the work of the commercialization office. Chairman discussed the prospects for cooperation between Science Foundation and University in innovation and scientific research sphere.
The visit to Satbayev University became part of Science Foundation's strategy to find and support the promising domestic innovative projects. This visit highlighted the importance of cooperation between the scientific community and institutions contributing to evolving the innovative technologies in Kazakhstan.
