Choose your favorite teacher: KazNRTU named after K.I. Satpayev launches a full-fledged credit system

One of the main advantages of a credit system is the freedom of choice. American students can choose the both: subjects and teachers they want. The students of KazNRTU have the opportunity to make full use of this advantage since 2017.

The first year students of KazNRTU have to register on the university's educational portal, which allows them to create their own schedule. The student chooses the course and the teacher from the list of available subjects and sends a request for registration. The system automatically checks the workload of teachers and adjusts the schedule.

"This year we introduced a full-fledged credit system that puts our teachers in a competitive situation," - said vice rector for academic affairs Rinat Iskakov. - Of course, there are narrow professional disciplines, where there is only one teacher, and there is no choice. If you want to get skills in this area, you will have to take a course with him. But if we will talk about, let's say, mathematics, physics, philosophy - yes, if freshmen feel that they do not work with one teacher, they can choose another after 1 semester if he has vacant places."

The first year students can change their solution online at any time before the start of the semester on the new training portal. This opportunity is only available to first year students. The old training portal will work for students 2, 3, 4 courses, and after a while will be closed.
