Continuity of Generations and the Power of Knowledge: Satbayev University Honors the Legacy of Mukhamejan Tynyshbaev and Professor Daulet Sheih-Ali
Satbayev University hosted the event “Parassatty Ustaz – Sapaly Bilim” (“A Wise Teacher – Quality Education”) dedicated to the birthday of the son of the prominent public figure Mukhamejan Tynyshbaev – Professor Daulet Sheih-Ali Mukhametzhanovich. The university-organized gathering was attended by Mukhamejan Tynyshbaev’s grand-niece, Nurshaken Hadji, who shared memories of the family’s life and the biography of the distinguished personalities.
Mukhamejan Tynyshbaev was an outstanding Kazakh public and state figure, one of the first professional railway engineers, as well as a historian and researcher. Tynyshbaev graduated from the Imperial Institute of Railway Engineers in Saint Petersburg, becoming the first Kazakh to graduate from this prestigious technical institution. His professional work was closely linked to the construction and development of railways, as well as the study of Kazakh history and the establishment of national historical scholarship.
His son, Professor Daulet Sheih-Ali, is a well-known Kazakh scholar and a representative of the engineering school in the field of transport and infrastructure development. He made a significant contribution to the training of scientific and engineering personnel, the development of transport science, and the creation of an academic environment in technical education.
During the event, a documentary film about Professor Daulet Sheih-Ali was screened. Special attention was given to his work at Satbayev University, his role in training scientific personnel, and his participation in the dissertation council. Colleagues of Daulet Mukhametzhanovich, who knew him well and had studied his scientific work, attended the screening and shared their memories with the students.
The event was organized by the M. Tynyshbaev School of Transport Engineering and Logistics to promote national values among the younger generation, strengthen moral and spiritual education, and enhance interest in science and education.
