Creativity at the technical university: an open rehearsal of Theater. Polytech took place at Satbayev University
At an open rehearsal for the press, University presented the first performance of the university's new creative laboratory, ArtLab.Polytech art laboratory, which opened in early 2023 as a student project. The author performance entitled "Mechanism" became an integration of technical knowledge, science and art, as well as a form of introducing the tech students to art and developing the creative attitude to educational, scientific and their future professional activities.
- “Mechanism” is becoming an integral part of the cultural map of our University, providing an opportunity for students to express their creative potential beyond the boundaries of lecture halls and laboratories, - said the author of the play Anel Syzdykova-Bitossi.
The given initiative is important not only because it expands the world of the country's first technical university’s students, but also because it helps them find the level of culture and creativity that is necessary for the specialists that the country needs now.
Throughout the semester, Satbayev University students immersed themselves in the world of creativity by participating in the acting course held at ArtLab.Polytech art club. Under the guidance of experienced theater masters, a team of students not only mastered acting techniques, but also created an amazing theater project that University is ready to share with the world.
Director of the production Ayganim Ramazan stressed that talking with students is one of the main goals of the given project.
- When we talk about social groups, first of all, "socially vulnerable groups" concept arises in my head, - said Aiganym. - We do not think that a student is a whole layer of our society that is also united in "social group" concept. Today, by educating and instructing them, we are building the future of our country, in which concepts such as Empathy and Humanity should not be lost in the pursuit of technology, which can lead to the future of "Mad Max".
In this way, "Mechanism" will become a bridge between the world of engineering and theatrical art, offering a unique perspective of scientific creativity. Polytech Theater is not only an indicator that our students can try their hand at theatrical art, but also a confirmation of University's desire to expand the boundaries of science and technology.
"Mechanism" performance from Theater.Polytech will take place in Assembly Hall of Satbayev University (Mining and Metallurgical Building, 2nd floor, entrance through the courtyard from Satbayev-Massanchi streets intersection) on December 19 and 20 at 19:00. Entrance is free. Welcome!
