Delegation of Satbayev University has visited Paris in the framework of the Official Visit of the President of Kazakhstan to France
At the end of November, Rector M. Begentaev and Vice-Rector for Science and International Affairs A. Shokparov participated in the 7th Forum of Higher Education Institutes of Kazakhstan and France. The Forum was organized within the visit of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to France.
The President’s visit to Paris and the Forum highlighted the development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and France. 13 Kazakh universities, more than 25 French universities, together with the Center for International Programs “Bolashak” took part in the Forum. Following the event, 14 Memoranda of Understanding were signed between the universities of Kazakhstan and France, and the Center for International Programs.
During the Forum, Rector M. Begentaev has presented a speech, talking about the University and the formation of an open educational space for the expansion of the geography of cooperation for students and scientists.
- We are open and ready to offer the full range of opportunities not only of our university, but also of other technical universities in Kazakhstan to create interesting collaborations with universities in France, said rector.
During the Forum, Satbayev University took part in the exhibition of Kazakhstani universities and met with top French universities to discuss potential cooperation. The delegation focused on establishing contacts with French technical universities and Engineering schools.
The day before his arrival to France, Meiram Begentaev visited Helsinki, where he has completed the Training internship program on Dual Education at Esedu South Savo College. The internship was focused on dual and workplace learning. Satbayev University will apply new methods and developments of the Finnish education system in its work.
France is one of the strategic partners of Kazakhstan, being in top-five largest investor countries - the investments of French partners into the Kazakh economy is about $17 billion. Both countries jointly implement projects in mining, food and light industry, energy, mechanical engineering and healthcare. More than 170 French companies and joint ventures operate in Kazakhstan.
The 7th Forum of Higher Education Institutes of Kazakhstan and France was an effective step towards strengthening the partnership between the two countries and bring the process of international education to an even higher level. Satbayev University thanks the Ministry of Science and Higher Education for new opportunities for all of us.
