Discussions on the change of the Kazakh Language to the Latin script in Satbayev University
Within the framework of the Ruhani Zhangyru program, on September 17, the Scientific Library of Satbayev University held a round table dedicated to the transition of the Kazakh language to Latin script. The project was developed by National Scientific and Practical Center Til-Kazyna named after Sh. Shayakhmetov.
The round table was attended by Deputy Head of the Rector’s Office U. E. Sydykov, Headmistress of School of Base Education A. S. Sarenova, Heads of the School of Base Education Departments A. Zh. Uderbayev, A. O. Turlybekova and A. A. Akatayeva; the event was also attended by professors from Kazakh and Russian Languages Department, experts from Center named after K. I. Satbayev and Scientific Library staff. Among the linguists who took part in the round table, was S. I. Zhapakov, the Head of the Kazakh and Russian Languages Department in Kazakh National Agrarian University.
The participants had and an engaged exchange of views and shared their proposals regarding text architecture, spelling, punctuation and stylistic patterns of the Latin script based Kazakh Language.
All the issues considered were sent to the National Scientific and Practical Center Til-Kazyna of The Ministry of Culture And Sport of The Republic of Kazakhstan.
