English language olympiad
On April 3-4, English Language Department organized intramural language olympiad among students of K.I. Satpayev Kazakh National Research Technical University. The event was dedicated to the birthday of the great scientist Kanysh Satpayev. Students of all courses and language levels had a unique chance to participate and test their English knowledge.
The olympiad was held in two stages. Three students showed the best communication skills in English. The winners were awarded with diplomas and prizes.
The 1st place - Saule Uvakova the first year student from the Institute of Geology, Oil and Gas Business after K.Turysov;
The 2nd place: Aidyn Iskakov, the fourth year student from the Institute of Architecture and Construction after T.K. Basenov;
The 3rd place: Sayed Muzamil Sadat the first year student from the Institute of Architecture and Construction after T.K. Basenov;.
Other 7 students who managed to pass to the final stage were awarded with certificates and prizes.
Our students have already been demonstrating positive results outside the university. In March 2017, six students from KazNRTU took part in interuniversity English language olympiad at Turan university. Dauren Iskakov from the Institute of Chemical Engineering took the 3rd place among participants from other universities.
