Forum of Central Asian Countries’ Rectors was held in Almaty
Based on Forum, Satbayev University conducted the negotiations and agreed on collaboration with universities in Kyrgyzstan.
As part of the given talks, Satbayev University reached an agreement to launch a joint program with Kyrgyz State Technical University named after Razzakov (KSTU). Alongside, the initiative to create and expand the geography of Central Asian Technology Transfer Network participants was discussed. Satbayev University’s Rector proposed to join the universities of Azerbaijan to the network, later - universities of Turkey, Mongolia, China, India, etc. It was put forward to make solutions in inclusive innovations field qua a separate subsection of the platform, and to nominate Satbayev University as the platform’s coordinator in Kazakhstan.
Satbayev University has signed collaboration agreements with Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov and Tashkent State University of Economics (Uzbekistan). It is being planned to cooperate in the areas of logistics and project management as well. Cooperation in IT sphere is being planned with Adam University (Kyrgyzstan). Collaboration on academic mobility of students as well as teaching staff will be launched with M.Ryskulbekov Kyrgyz University of Economics.
Forum was attended by representatives of Ministries of Education of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, as well as Rectors of higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan and Central Asian countries; its purpose was to expand universities’regional cooperation in Central Asia. The discussion highlighted the work of Alliance of Universities in Central Asia, created to jointly address regional and global issues related to higher education, economic, scientific and technological development, due to strengthening the cooperation among the participants.
