Interregional Innovation Forum iRIF-2024, devoted to renewable energy sources, was held at Satbayev University
International Innovation Forum iRIF-2024 was held at Satbayev University, organized by University together with Internet Laboratory of the Future University of Applied Sciences of Anhalt (Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, Germany).
Forum topic was "Integration of renewable energy sources and industrial Internet technologies", which brought together leading experts, scientists and industry representatives from Kazakhstan and other countries to discuss topical issues in the field of "green" technologies, lithium and the industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).
Forum was opened by Vice-Rector for Science and Corporate Development, Professor Yerzhan Kuldeyev, who noted that Almaty, with its rich history and commitment to the future, provides an excellent opportunity for participants to meet, exchange ideas and work together to shape the future.
“Use every opportunity to learn from each other. Together we are able to spark ideas, inspire change and shape the future,” said Vice-rector.
He was supported by the representative of German Consulate General in Almaty, Mr. Wolfgang Faust, and Professor Eduard Siemens from Anhalt University.
Forum program included a series of reports and panel discussions covering the various aspects of innovation and energy. The event featured topics such as the integration of science and business, the introduction of IIoT technologies for energy islands, components for autonomous energy systems, environmental design, energy efficiency and the integration of renewable energy sources into traditional networks. Forum ended with a panel discussion in which participants discussed the integration of renewable energy sources and industrial Internet technologies, exchanged ideas and outlined the new ways of cooperation.
Furthermore, "Digital technologies in innovation, higher education and technology transfer" workshop for faculty and students was held within the framework of Forum with the participation of leading specialists from Germany: Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, Dexor Technology GmbH.
The iRIF-2024 International Forum has become a dynamic space for exchanging the knowledge and innovation, emphasizing the importance of joint scientific research and the development of new technological solutions in Kazakhstan and beyond. Participants highly appreciated the forum as a platform for generating the ideas that can significantly increase the innovative potential of the economies of Kazakhstan and Germany and the new opportunities that have been opened during the reports and discussions.
