KazNRTU named K.I. Satpaev opened a new stage in cooperation with industry

The Consultative Council of the Mining and Metallurgical Institute named after O. Baikonurov took place in September 15, 2017 under the chairmanship of Vice Rector for Academic Affairs of the KazNRTU named after K.I. Satpaev Rinat Iskakov. It has led the cooperation of the university and the "Republican Association of Mining and Metallurgical Enterprises" to a new level.

Within the framework of The Consultative Council, industry representatives met with representatives of the university, graduates of the bachelor's and master's degrees. The speakers discussed the issues of cooperation in training professionals for metallurgical industry, conducting practices in plants, adaptation work curricula for production requirements and employment issues.

It was decided to adjust the curriculum on the requirements of experts in production, to trace student performance in practice on the principles of feedback from the departments, to exclude a formal approach and to conduct the practice in full.

The representatives of university presented a new Internet portal that will help to optimize the process of recruiting specialists. The specialists from industry will register there and post their vacancies for KazNRTU students. The portal will provide an opportunity for students to run an online training system and give them motivation to study and develop a career in industry.
