"KazStandard Academy" has been opened on the basis of Satbayev University
KazStandard Academy, opened at Satbayev University on July 1, 2022, is another step towards the transformation of Satbayev University into the largest research hub in Central Asian region. Its work will be aimed at training the competitive personnel in standardization and metrology sphere.
The opening of KazStandard Academy was attended by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Trade and Integration, "Polytech" graduate Bakhyt Sultanov, Chairman of Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology Arman Abenov and General Director of "KazStandard" state enterprise Gabit Mukhambetov. The guests visited Satbayev University Museum, took part in Round table, inspected the premises of KazStandard Academy as well as signed memoranda and cooperation agreements.
The new academy was opened within the framework of cooperation between Satbayev University and Kazakhstan Institute of Standardization and Metrology, a republican state enterprise, the leader of Kazakhstan in standardization, metrology and technical regulation. Kassym Yelemessov, Director at Institute of Energy and Mechanical Engineering, became Academy Head. As part of Academy opening, he held a speech and shared his work plans.
Achieving the needed measurement accuracy and optimal processes in production is a necessary condition for Kazakhstani goods’ competitiveness on the world market. The goal of the KazStandard Academy is to help highly qualified specialists and teachers understand how raising the level of standards will affect their work and allow them to achieve the new professional victories. To do this, Academy's specialists will study the world experience and adapt it to the realities of our country. The plans also include the nomination of KazStandard Academy as Base Organization of Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification of Commonwealth of Independent States.
A logical step in Academy’s work will be new educational programs in Master’s and Doctorate, as well as the development of innovative activities in standardization and metrology sphere.
