Meeting of the Coordination Council of the CIS Network University
On May 24, 2017, Russian People’s Friendship University (RPFU) held an International meeting of Coordinating Council Consortium of the Commonwealth of Independent States Network University. Lyazzat Atymtayeva Chair of Computer Engineering Department, Director of the Distance Education Institute, Professor represented KazNRTU after K. I. Satpayev. The meeting was held under coordination of Vladimir Fillipov Rector of Russian Peoples' Friendship University, Professor.
The event organization was excellent. More than 20 universities of different countries attended the meeting including Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Russia. The Russian Universities were represented by Russian People’s Friendship University, Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Moscow State Institute of International Relationships, Novosibirsk State University, Eltsin Ural Federal University and others.
Kazakhstan universities were represented by consortium members al-Farabi KazNU, Gumilev ENU, Auezov South Kazakhstan State University and KazNRTU after K.I. Satpayev.
The questions for discussion contained issues of adoption consortium new members, as well as the redistribution of quotas for the Network University to different countries.
The idea of the Network University is very progressive in terms of educational process quality improvement that is expressed in the joint programs of academic mobility, exchange of educational programs, development of new forms of interaction, the acquisition of double diplomas by students, and many others.
