Murat Zhurinov was awarded Gold Medal of Peter Kapitsa
Satbayev University staff is congratulating Board of Directors’ Chairman Murat Zhurinovich Zhurinov on being granted Gold Medal of Peter Kapitsa - an outstanding Russian physicist - Nobel Prize winner. Murat Zhurinovich was awarded one of the most prestigious prizes for his discovery of metals in electrochemistry field in accordance with Decision of Presidium of Russian Academy of Natural Sciences # 289 as for 01/25/2019.
Murat Zhurinovich Zhurinov is a Soviet and Kazakhstani scientist, President of National Academy of Sciences of Republic of Kazakhstan. Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor, Academician of International Academy of Engineering and New York Academy of Sciences as well. Laureate of I and II degree “Parassat” and “Barys” orders. Author of over 500 scientific papers and 92 inventions.
The main scientific works of Murat Zhurinov are devoted to the study related to electrochemical behavior of various classes of organic compounds and development regarding new methods for electrochemical synthesis of physiologically active substances. The highlighted work by Russian Academy of Sciences is devoted to post-electrolysis chemical dissolution of titanium in aqueous acid solutions.
