On January 23-25, the delegation from Shandong Academy of Sciences of People’s Republic of China visited Satbayev University
The purpose of the delegation’s arrival was negotiations related to joint projects implementation, research and PhD doctoral student training based on signed in 2017 Memorandum of Understanding between Shandong Academy of Sciences and Satbayev University.
The guided tour regarding institutes and research institutes of Satbayev University started with a meeting between the delegation and university representatives. Vice-President of Shandong Academy of Sciences Liu Mende, director of Center for Analysis and Testing of Shandong Province, Wang Xiao, director of Automation Institute Zhu Yonghai, Li Tihandu, dean of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Engineering Faculty of Qilu Technology University, and Chinese delegation’s other members, Satbayev University executives, institutes’ directors and as well as university scientists participated at the given measure.
Institutes’ heads especially emphasized in their mini-presentations various departments’ rich experience at Satbayev University in cooperation with enterprises of People's Republic of China.
On the third day of the delegation’s visit, a working meeting was held on practical issues regarding future cooperation. The parties discussed student exchanges, joint research, internships and apprenticeships for students and teaching staff of Satbayev University in People's Republic of China.
“While visiting the institutes of your university, I noted the high level of teachers and scientists at Satbayev University,” said Vice President Shandong Academy of Sciences Liu Mende at the meeting. “The most important feature of your university is that you are focused on solving current scientific and technical issues, and production problems in your country. You are creating a world-class university; therefore we have a lot of common ground.”
Within the meeting, the parties signed an agreement on scientific and technical cooperation that opens up great opportunities for both students and teaching staff at Satbayev University; agreement on joint training of PhD doctors; at the same time two partners held the official opening ceremony related to joint laboratory of Automation Institute of Shandong Academy of Sciences and Satbayev University - Joint Laboratory for Intelligent Agricultural Equipment.
Shandong Academy of Sciences (Shandong Academy of Sciences, SDAS) was founded in 1979. This is a scientific institution focused on high technologies creation in computer science and computer technology sphere, automation of bioengineering, new materials, energy-saving technologies, laser technologies, intelligent instruments, analysis and testing of fine chemical products, etc.
The Academy has more than 20 cooperation contracts with the institutes from the USA, Great Britain, Germany, Canada, Poland, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Japan, etc.
