On October 2, applications for the school Olympiad on DANO data analysis will end

If you want to try your hand at data analytics and increase your chances of admission, take part in the DANO Olympiad!

DANO is an Olympiad for schoolchildren held by Tinkoff Bank, “Higher School of Economics” and other Russian universities. The competition has been taking place for the fourth year and helps students of grades 9-11 from different countries to increase their chances of admission to the leading universities and try their hand at data analytics.

Olympiad consists of three stages that will help participants improve their ability to work with data, draw informed conclusions and argue them, as well as gain teamwork experience in real projects and develop soft skills. All stages test knowledge in economics, data analysis, mathematics and logic, and in the final stage of the competition, participants defend database-based projects from co-organizers and partners.

Before each stage of the Olympiad, participants will have access to an educational block - an online course and video podcasts from NRU HSE and T-Bank experts, a library of materials with the selection of literature on the topic and tasks of the last Olympiad season.

Terms of participation: only students in grades 8-11 can participate. Basic knowledge of mathematics is required. Olympiad is held online, the final is in full-time format. Participation is free of charge.

Participants will receive:

• Unique experience of working with real databases and getting to know the analyst profession through practice;

• Access to exclusive training materials from NRU HSE and T-Bank experts;

• Gifts from Olympiad organizers and partners.

To help the participants, tasks for training will be published in the telegram channel of the Olympiad. Library of materials is also available: assignments from past Olympiads, training videos.
