Open Day was held at Satbayev University Military Affairs Institute
Autumn Open Day is a long-standing tradition of Military Affairs Institute. This year it was timed to the Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Institute opened its doors to first-year students, schoolchildren of Bostandyk district and cadets of Military Technical School of Almaty.
The military-patriotic program began on October 20 with congratulations dedicated to the celebration of RK national holiday - Republic Day. Rector of Satbayev University Meiram Begentayev addressed the students with a welcoming speech:
- The knowledge that you receive at Military Institute is very important for our country. I wish you to gain knowledge that will help to keep the peaceful sky above your head," said Rector.
Within the framework of the event, teachers and cadets of Military Affairs Institute demonstrated samples of weapons and military equipment, military uniforms, unmanned aerial vehicles and artillery systems. The cadets showed techniques with weapons, working with equipment, practical work with parachutes.
Among the demonstrated equipment, there were the regimental self-propelled artillery installation "Gvozdika", multiple launch rocket system "Grad", an armored multi-purpose tractor transporter, infantry fighting vehicles, KAMAZ trucks and the latest weapons models - multi-purpose armored wheeled vehicles "Arlan" and Hammer.
The Institute of Military Affairs demonstrated a military air defense Control point and an electronic shooting range. Within the framework of the program, Center for Military-patriotic Work "Aibyn" was opened. The event ended with the guests being treated to "soldier's porridge".
The continuation of Open Day has been planned for tomorrow, October 21, at Military Affairs Institute.
