During the meeting, the parties discussed cooperation between the two universities in the field of education and science, computer science, ecology and languages.

- I am very pleased that such a friendly and warm company has gathered here today, Satbayev University’s Rector Meiram Begentayev said at the meeting. – Alongside, I am glad that our collaboration opens up new opportunities for our students, our colleagues and our countries.

In addition to Embassy's Cultural Affairs officer Colin Gard and Consulate's Public Relations Assistant Chad Kinnear, the meeting was attended by Coordinator of American Councils for International Education University Partnership Program Maksat Koshkarbayev, who spoke about the participation of Satbayev University in American Councils projects.

University meeting is part of a large program of American Councils for International Education aimed at organizing the close cooperation between selected Kazakh and American universities. Within the framework of the program, American Councils transfer knowledge in the field of higher education management to Kazakh universities and support partnerships between the two countries’ universities.

As part of this broad program, in March 2023, Satbayev University received a grant from American Councils to develop a project in human resources and finance management sphere. University's specialists implemented the project under the mentorship of Daniel Langer, Head of Finance and HR at Washington University in Madison, who shared with the team his extensive expertise in the field of strategic management, business as well as risk management.

The project was presented to American experts during the seminar owing to university management and financial management organized by American Councils in conjunction with Wisconsin-Madison University. The project participants were awarded Certificates from American-Councils.

Wisconsin-Madison University is a public research university in Madison, Wisconsin, USA, founded after Wisconsin gained statehood in 1848, the official State University of Wisconsin. This is a unique university specializing, among other things, in language programs, in which the Kazakh language is taught for Americans.  "Intensive Kazakh" summer program is the most popular language course among Central Asian languages at the given university.

Thus, the cooperation between Satbayev University and Wisconsin-Madison University opens up not only wide opportunities for scientific work and education, but also for friendly communication between the representatives of the two cultures.
