Participation and victory of Satbayev University in the Republican competition for the development of small architectural forms

On April 12, 2024, a solemn announcement and award ceremony for the winners of the Republican Competition for the Development of Small Architectural Forms took place at the building of Research Institute "Almatygenplan". The organizers of this significant event were the Union of Architects of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Archiforma Group.

Participants of the competition were invited to create a conceptual project of small architectural forms in one of three nominations:

• Collection of modern street furniture;
• Collection of street furniture in the Turkic style;
• Modern art object in the national style.

The jury of the competition included distinguished representatives of the architectural community:

• Bolat Kuspangaliyev – Honored Architect of the Republic of Kazakhstan, member of the Union of Architects of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Director of the Institute of Architecture, Satbayev University;
• Gulnara Abdrasilova – Honored Architect of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Architecture, Academic Professor, KazGASA;
• Aidar Tatygulov – First Vice President of the Union of Architects, President of the Project Academy "KAZGOR";
• Anton Fedyanin – representative of the Project Academy "KAZGOR" and the Union of Architects of Kazakhstan;
• Bekzat Amanzhol – founder of the architectural studio Levelstudio;
• Kairat Manaev – Chief rchitect of Archiforma Group.

More than 60 projects from various cities of Kazakhstan were presented at the competition. One of the winners of the competition was Vladimir Yaskevich, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Architecture at Satbayev University, who took 1st place in the nomination "Collection of modern street furniture" and 3rd place in the nomination "Collection of street furniture in the Turkic style".
