Passing grades in 2018 academic year

The 2018 scholarship competition ended in early August. This year, technical specialties were provided with 11 thousand more scholarships, and thus it was easier to enroll in universities. For example, to win a scholarship to study such prestigious specialty as Oil and Gas Business, it was enough to get only 65 points.

It was much harder to win a scholarship for rare or popular specialties, such as Standardization and Certification, Logistics and maintenance of vehicles, Land Management and National Inventory since these specialties were provided with a lesser number of scholarships.

Scholarships for popular specialties Economics and Information Security Systems were also hard to win; at the same time, scholarship for Information Systems – the specialty of the future – required only 68 points, since experts of this field are in high demand on the programmer's job market.

The legendary Polytech has many talented graduates: Ilyas Esenberlin, singer Aikyn Tolepbergen, acclaimed mountain climber Kazbek Valiev, Vice-Minister of Energy Sabit Nurlybay, Akim of Astana, former Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Sultanov, Chairman of the Board of Kazatomprom Askar Zhumagaliyev and other famous people who gained leadership qualities and realized their potential in Polytech.

The minimum UNT score to participate in the scholarship competition is 65 points. A passing grade for major subjects – 5. Major subjects in Satbayev University are physics, math, biology, and chemistry.
