Polytech has expressed its deep condolences on the death of Professor Abdrakhman Begalinov

The staff of "Kazakh National Research Technical University named after K.I. Satpayev" deeply mourns the death of the famous scientist, doctor of technical sciences, professor of Mining Department Begalinov Abdrakhman Begalinovich.

On the occasion of the severe loss at the age of 78, Rector's office and University staff have expressed their deep condolences to the family and friends.

Abdrakhman Begalinovich was a major organizer of the mining and metallurgical industry. For more than 30 years of activity in the country’s non-ferrous metallurgy system, he passed the way from a mining foreman to the head of the gold mining industry of Kazakhstan (mining foreman, head of the site, chief engineer of the mine, head of the mine, chief engineer of the mine management, director of the mining and processing plant, President of NJSC "Altynalmas").

After defending his doctoral dissertation, from 2003 to the present day he worked at KazNRTU. The formation of the mine and underground construction school as well as development of placer deposits in Kazakhstan is associated with his name.

He made a significant contribution to the training of highly qualified mining specialists at our University.

Begalinov A.B. is a laureate of the prize of the Kazakh SSR Ministers Council.  Over the years, he headed a number of companies, was elected a deputy of municipal, district and regional Councils of people's deputies; in 1990 he was a member of Central Committee of Kazakhstan’s CP. He was a member of the editorial boards of “Mining Journal of Kazakhstan” and “Mining and Geological Journal”, the author of more than 150 scientific papers, including 5 monographs and 6 textbooks, and 17 inventions as well.
