QazaqGaz has established a scholarship for training the specialists in the gas industry
On August 26, 2022, Chairman of Management Board at QazaqGaz, Sanzhar Zharkeshov, signed memoranda on mutual understanding with Satbayev University’s Rector, Meiram Begentayev. As a result of the given agreement, Satbayev University will train specialists for the gas industry with QazaqGaz’s support.
The national company is committed to nurturing the young specialists for the gas industry. Now those who wish to study at the faculties of oil and gas will be able to apply for a scholarship from a national company. In addition, QazaqGaz will invite students for an internship. The best students will be assisted in finding employment in production positions.
The national company is planning to create "QazaqGaz” scientific and technical center - a center of competence in the gas industry, on the basis of the training complexes and engineering-technical centers available in the national company. The Center will attract leading technical universities of Kazakhstan and abroad, international gas companies for collaboration.
The parties discussed the prospects for Kazakhstan's gas industry’s growth. Within the framework of Memorandum, joint scientific projects will be implemented due to grant and program-targeted funding.
QazaqGaz’s task is to integrate science, innovation and production. The latest technological elaborations of professors, teachers and specialists are planned to be used in their work, as well as to develop the commercialization of Kazakh science in the gas sector.
