Rector of Satbayev University met with the President

Nursultan Nazarbayev met with the rector of Satbayev University Iskander Beisembetov, reports Tengrinews.kz with reference to Akorda.

During the meeting, Iskander Beisembetov reported on the measures taken to implement applied projects, as well as on the ongoing work to improve the quality of education, taking into account world trends. The head of the state was informed about the prospects of development and results of the research activities of the University.

Noting the special place of the institution in the system of national education, Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed the importance of training highly qualified personnel in accordance with the requirements of the industrialization program.

"National Technical University named after Satbayev is one of the largest educational institutions in the country, providing training in engineering specialties. We are creating all the necessary conditions for its development. The University is granted autonomy. In addition, the University has become a research one, " the President of Kazakhstan said.
