“Satbayev is our contemporary” contest essay reception has opened
Satbayev University in collaboration with RK Ministry of Education and Science and K.I. Satbayev International Fund is announcing about nationwide youth essay competition "Satbayev is our contemporary."
The competition is dedicated to 120th birth anniversary of Academician Kanysh Satbayev and will be held among college and higher educational institutions’ students. The following topics are recommended for participants:
1. K.I. Satbayev and science of Kazakhstan;
2. The role of K.I. Satbayev in mining industry creation of Kazakhstan;
3. K.I. Satbayev and Zhezkazgan;
4. Contribution of geologist K.I. Satbayev in the victory over Nazi Germany;
5. USSR Lenin and State Prizes as a recognition of K.I. Satbayev’s merits;
6. The role of K.I. Satbayev in Irtysh-Karaganda canal construction;
7. Memory of K.I. Satbayev. Memories of contemporaries. What do I know about the life of K.I. Satbayev? (any period of life can be lightened);
8. K.I. Satbayev is a scientist;
9. K.I. Satbayev is a citizen and a patriot;
10. The life of K.I. Satbayev is an example for the youth;
11. K.I. Satbayev and Kazakhstan today.
Publications written under the impression of visiting a museum, exhibition, memorable place, or watching movies are welcomed. In contest results summing up, a creative approach to presenting facts related to biography and scientific activity, as well as participants’ vision of K.I. Satbayev’s personality will be taken into account. The most interesting works or excerpts from them will be published; the contest winners will be awarded with diplomas, certificates, valuable gifts and cash prizes as well.
Competition languages are Kazakh, Russian or English.
To participate, it is necessary to send an essay before April 1, 2019 to kisarhiv@mail.ru email.
In the subject line, indicate: To "Satbayev is our contemporary" youth competition. Also in the letter specify the name, surname, patronymic of the author, date of birth, contact address, place of study and address of the educational institution. Illustrations can be attached to the material (photos / photocopies of publications from newspapers, magazines, books).
