Satbayev University continues to develop earthquake-resistant civil engineering

Professor of the department «Civil engineering and building materials» of the T.Bassenov Institute of architecture and civil engineering of the Satbayev University Doctor of technical science -  Mirken S. Abakanov - representative of the Eurasian Seismo Association in the Republic of Kazakhstan, member-corral of International Engineering Academy, Chairman of the Scientific and Technical Expert Council of the National Expert Association «Srosexpertis», - will make a presentation at the Fourth International Scientific and Practical Conference «Actual issues of design and construction in seismic zones» on 24-26 October 2023 in Novokuznetsk.

The conference was organized by Satbayev University, together with the Central Research and Project Institute of the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation, the Eurasian Association for Seismology, earthquake-resistant construction and protection from natural disasters and other expert organizations of Russia.

The purpose of the conference is to discuss problems, prospects, organizational and technical capabilities, regulatory and methodological aspects of urban development and construction in the Kemerovo region - Kuzbass, design issues, Construction of high-rise buildings and buildings as bases of agglomeration development, scientific-technical and business cooperation of architects, town planners, builders, specialists and experts in this field. The conference will result in the development of new standards and technical specifications for earthquake protection and disaster risk reduction.
