Satbayev University discussed the development of dual education and practical training of engineers

"Practical training of students. Interaction of universities and enterprises" round table was held at “Technological Machines and Equipment” department at Satbayev University Energy and Mechanical Engineering Institute named after A. Burkitbayev. The event brought together representatives of leading universities and industrial companies, including Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, G. Daukeyev AUEC, “Borussan Makin Kazakhstan”, “SaryarkaAvtoProm”, “Kazmining Project”, Institute of Nuclear Physics, “LocosystemsKZ”, “Caravan Resources ltd” and others.

The main topic of discussion was the development of a dual education system, successfully implemented for 4th-year students of Satbayev University on the basis of “Allure” enterprise in Kostanay. The given format combines theoretical training with practical work, which helps students to quickly adapt to the requirements of real production and form professional competencies.

Participants noted the high level of organization of the educational process and expressed interest in the department's experience in implementing the dual education. During the discussion, ideas were proposed for further improving the system of practical training of students and expanding the interaction of universities with industrial partners. Round table has become an effective platform for exchanging experience, discussion of topical issues of engineering education and strengthening ties between science, education and production.
