Satbayev University has changed its organizational structure
A meeting with the heads of Satbayev departments devoted to the recent changes in the organizational structure of the university took place on March 15, 2021. Acting Rector Amandik Kuatovich Tuleshov announced the results of the Council meeting of Satbayev University, held last week. The meeting included a vote on the election of the Chairman of the Directors Board at Non-commercial Joint-Stock Company “K.I.Satpayev Kazakh National Research Technical University”. This position was taken by Daulenov Miras Mukhtarovich - Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The approval of the selection and appointment process of Chairman of the Board - Rector and the election of members of the Board was the second item on the agenda. Competition announcement for the vacant position of Chairman of the Board - Rector posted in the republican newspaper “Kazakhstanskaya Pravda” dated March 15, 2021, No. 49 (29426).
At the meeting, the Board of Directors established the Strategic Planning, HR, Remuneration, and Audit Committees under international standards of corporate governance.
The organizational structure of the university has been changed: the positions of Vice Provost for Academic Affairs, Vice Provost for Research and Education, and Vice Provost for Science will be reorganized. The positions of Deputy Chairman of the Board - Provost and Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation will take their place. The Provost will be responsible for academic training at all levels, cooperation with the industry in the field of professional development. The Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation is in charge of the issues of research activities in all university structures.
After the election of the Chairman of the Board - Rector, the Board of Directors of Satbayev University will hold a competition for candidates for the positions of Vice-Rectors, except the position of Provost for Academic Affairs.
As part of the reorganization, following the structural changes, the necessary replacement of legal documents and job descriptions will be carried out.
The university departments will remain essentially the same. In the future, continuous horizontal communication will be established between departments for effective cooperation, exchange of information, and the results of research activities.
