Satbayev University has confirmed a status as the best technical institution in the country
Satbayev University continues to improve its position in national and international rankings, maintaining its status of the first technical university in Kazakhstan according to the Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (IQAA).
The year 2020 was a turning point for higher education in Kazakhstan. Many universities have moved to distance education, updated educational programmes, increasingly focused on information and education technologies, and old approaches are gradually losing relevance. Satbayev University ranked first among universities most effectively adapted to the new reality without losing the high quality of the traditional educational process.
The high level of education and active innovation enable the university to confirm its status as the country’s best technical institution year after year. The independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (IQAA-Ranking/NAOCO) confirmed Satbayev University as the best technical institution in the country for the third consecutive year, with a score of 95.87 out of 100.
IQAA praised the innovative educational programs of the bachelor’s and master’s degree; more than 20 programs of the university were among the top 3 rankings of educational programs and their groups. Especially IQAA noted traditional for Satbayev University programs «Oil Engineering», «Building Engineering» and «Robotics and Mechatronics», which received the highest grades at all levels of training (bachelor’s and master’s degrees). The result is recognition of the quality of the training and the high level of professionalism and competitiveness of our graduates in the labour market.
Satbayev University’s level of educational and scientific process is confirmed not only by national but also by prestigious international ratings:
- Quacquarelli Symonds 2021 – 501-510 band (+30 positions)
- Times Higher Education Asia University 2021 – 351-400 band (included for the first time)
It is important to note that the THE (Times Higher Education) World University Rankings and QS World University Rankings are the two most prestigious university rankings in the world. They, along with Academic Ranking of World Universities, are considered the most objective and influential. The universities that are published in these rankings are carefully selected and only the selected universities are included in the final list of each year.
