Satbayev University has expressed its condolences in connection with the death of Alexander Litvinov

We are deeply saddened to inform you that Alexander Litvinov, one of the founders of “Dos-Mukassan” cult band, died yesterday. University staff expressed sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Drummer Alexander Litvinov was known as a talented musician and a bright personality. A student and graduate of Satbayev University in 1970 (then Kazakh Polytechnic Institute), he became one of the founders of “Dos-Mukassan” band, popular not only in Kazakhstan, but also abroad. Despite his short stay in the ensemble, he left a unique mark in its history, as well as in the revival of the legendary band.

Satbayev University mourns this talented musician who left a bright mark in the history of Kazakhstan’s culture. May the earth be his down, and his creativity will continue to live and delight us!
