Satbayev University has met Xi'an Educational Bureau’s delegation
On April 28, Satbayev University received the delegation from Xi'an Educational Bureau, which was represented by Party Secretary, Bureau Director Ms. Li Hongyu. The meeting was also attended by representatives of Xi'an universities and employees of Xi'an International Logistics Park.
Chinese delegates spoke about China's educational initiatives and training opportunities provided to foreign students within the framework of China's educational grants. The meeting’s main topic was the discussion of cooperation in the field of academic mobility and the development of joint educational programs with Xi'an Railway Vocational Technical Institute.
Xi'an Railway Vocational Technical Institute in Shaanxi Province, founded in 1956, is a higher professional college focused on training a wide range of specialists for railway transport. It is a state university sponsored by Xi'an Municipal People's Government and offers training in 147 specialties.
Institute is located in the central Chinese province of Shanxi Province, which, like its capital Xi'an, is considered the cradle of Chinese civilization. Xi'an has more than 2,000 years of history, and Silk Road began from here. Now it is a global trade and logistics center, one of the most important centers of Chinese economy, where more than 40 million people live.
In addition to providing a high level of technical education, Xi'an provides a platform for China's "One Belt and One Road" economic initiative, a long-term economic program aimed at the economic integration of countries along the historical Silk Road. As part of the given initiative, China also provides students from Central Asian countries with the opportunity to study under Chinese programs on a special scholarship. This is a good opportunity for students to expand their horizons, get a technical specialty and learn the language of one of the leading countries of the world economy.
The meeting ended with University tour. Chinese guests invited Satbayev University specialists to visit Xi'an to sign a cooperation agreement and work out concrete steps within its framework.
