Satbayev University has opened “Meeting Room” together with “Kostanay Minerals” company
Satbayev University Institute of Project Management and “Kostanay Minerals” company held a meeting as part of the opening of the new Meeting Room, jointly modernized by University and Company for conducting the meetings and seminars.
The guests were able to get acquainted with the company and its production capacity, as well as communicate with Kanat Kopbayev, Managing director and member of Directors Board Kusto Group PTE Ltd. The meeting was attended by Chairman of Company’s Management Board Yerbol Nurkhozhayev, who held a speech.
The given ceremony was attended by a special guest; 86-year-old university graduate Rahimgali Smagulov. Rahimgali Faizovich is a graduate of Mining faculty, who began his career as a miner in the mine, held senior positions, was the director of Bakyrchik mining and processing plant, became one of the founders of Diamond Fund and was at the origins of introducing the national currency tenge. He visited the university to see the changes and receive well-deserved honors for his contribution to the growth of industry and economy of Kazakhstan.
Auditorium, called ‘Meeting Room’, is now equipped with modern apparatus and multimedia space, ideal for holding the round tables, seminars, workshops and online meetings. As part of the audience opening program, there were held performances and video broadcasts, as well as coffee breaks and networking.
In addition to opening the auditorium, the parties held a meeting to discuss joint initiatives aimed at advancing the education and business. There are plans to open joint MBA degree programs, a branch of departments based on the company and R&D center. An important area of work will be the implementation of dual training on the basis of the company, as well as the development of a program of industrial practices for university students, training of managers, holding case championships and other events that will help expand collaboration between the university and business, as well as create new opportunities for students and Company’s employees.
“Kostanay Minerals” company is the only enterprise in Kazakhstan that extracts and processes chrysotile asbestos.
