Satbayev University has started cooperation with EOS

On January 30, Satbayev University’s representatives met with Markus Glasser, Senior Vice President of EOS GmbH, a world leader in additive manufacturing and industrial 3D printing of metals and plastics, in Munich (Germany). Memorandum of cooperation was signed during the meeting.

At the moment, EOS is planning to launch its pilot project in Kazakhstan - Scientific and Innovative competence center for working with materials used for manufacturing various components on company's 3D printers. The new center will help train Kazakhstani engineers to work with EOS products and technologies, trial production will be launched in order to launch the process of developing and manufacturing the high-tech components for automotive, aerospace, engineering, oil-gas industries and medicine in our country in the future. Satbayev University will act as a partner of the given project.

The project involves many stakeholders, as it is a knowledge-intensive niche industry with making the products with high added value, competitive in the global market.

As part of the trip, representatives of Satbayev University spent a very interesting day at EOS head office in Bavaria, inspected the company's equipment at EOS Technology Center and discussed joint projects. The meeting was attended by Kazakh Invest national company’s representative in Germany Saken Olzhabayev.

EOS is a recognized innovator in the field of equipment, materials and integrated solutions for additive manufacturing. The company develops solutions for such high-tech companies as BMW, Airbus, Siemens, Electrolux, Daimler, Fiat and has a significant number of patents in additive laser technologies field. Currently, the company has 7 technology centers, sales and service offices in 15 countries, 75 sales partners in 50 countries, a total of 3,750 systems have been installed in 68 countries.
