Satbayev University has strengthened international cooperation in the education sphere within the framework of EduFusion NSG project
The final meeting of the first year (1st Year Management Board Meeting) of Erasmus+ International Project Management Council “Edu-Fusion Network for Sustainable Growth (EDUFUSION NSG)” was held at Satbayev University. Project is aimed at developing the sustainable education and strengthening the academic ties between universities in Europe and Central Asia. The meeting was attended by representatives of leading universities, scientific organizations and international partners.
Yerzhan Kuldeyev, Vice-Rector for Science and Corporate Development at Satbayev University, made a welcoming speech, emphasizing that the development of science and education is impossible without international cooperation.
"Science and education have no borders or nationalities. We believe that such projects strengthen mutual understanding and lead to new discoveries and joint achievements," he said.
The project coordinator, President of “ENTER” organization, professor Jose Carlos Quadrado, presented an overview of the results of the first initiative implementation and noted the significant achievements of the consortium. Participants discussed further steps to evolve the program, certify participants, and establish national monitoring committees that will oversee the quality of educational processes in the partner countries.
For his great contribution to promoting the international cooperation and supporting the Kazakhstani education, professor Quadrado was elected a foreign member of National Academy of Kazakhstan’s Higher Education. The honorary award and the certificate of the academician were presented to him by Vice-president of Central Asian Accreditation Agency Akhmetzhan Koshen. Alongside, professor Quadrado was awarded the al-Farabi badge, one of the most prestigious honors in the education sphere in Kazakhstan.
"I am grateful for the recognition, and I promise to continue supporting the academic growth of Kazakhstan and Central Asia. Similar projects are an example of how international education helps us develop together," said professor Quadrado.
EduFusion NSG project brings together universities in Europe and Central Asia to share experiences, improve the teaching of engineering and technical disciplines, develop entrepreneurship skills for engineers, and integrate the sustainable development principles into degree programs. Satbayev University, as a leading technical university in Kazakhstan, is actively involved in executing the project, strengthening its role as an international center for engineering and innovation education in the region.
