Satbayev University has taken the first steps to build student dormitories in Almaty

On March 03, 2023, the grand opening of JSC "Financial Center’s" Project Office for constructing the student dormitories took place in Youth Loft Center of Almaty.

Project Office’s main task will be to create favorable conditions to implement State program for construction of dormitories and providing the housing for students in Almaty territory, namely, the provision form Akimat of the city and Financial Center of operational legal, consulting and expert support to higher educational institutions and potential investors interested in housing construction.

Memorandum on the opening of Project Office was signed by Minister of RK Science and Higher Education Sayassat Nurbek and Deputy Akim of Almaty Arman Kyrykbayev.

Minister made a welcoming speech, followed by the presentation on Project Office’s work.

As part of Almaty Development Program, it is being planned to commission new dormitories for 12 thousand beds by 2025, and another 20 thousand by 2030.

The first step in this direction was the signing of Memorandum between Satbayev University, Financial Center and FORUM Invest company on the planned construction of two new dormitories for Polytech students in 2023. The first one for 955 seats will be built on University's land plots at 34 Ladygina st., the second one for 1126 seats – on the site of the dilapidated building of techno park built in 1958 at 122/22 Baitursynov str. at the expense of 100% of Investor's funds.
