Satbayev University held the subject Olympiads in a distance format
On April 15, 2020, based on the initiative of “Construction and building materials” Department of the Institute of Architecture and Construction named after T. Bassenov, Satbayev University hosted the distance subject Olympiads in the discipline “Engineering Mechanics”. The Olympiads were held in 3 specialties: Construction, Transport construction, Transport, Transport equipment and technologies. The Olympiads objectives were intended for in-depth knowledge of the discipline, ingenuity and engineering skills of students.
6 technical universities from Almaty, Shymkent and Pavlodar participated in the Olympiads. The students of IEC of KazLAACE, KazATC named after M. Tynyshpayev, SKSU, Pavlodar State University named after S. Toraigyrov and Kazakh University of Railway Transport took an active participation. Satbayev University’s students Daniyarov A.M., Yaschenko A.I. and Sauletova A.E. won the 2nd and 3rd places in "Construction" specialty.
The Olympiads organizing committee noted that despite the critical situation, the students are active, inquisitive, initiative as usual and they strive to improve and expand their knowledge. Currently, the organizing committee receives a lot of positive feedback from students and universities’ administration that took part in the given measure. The Olympiads showed a high level of competitiveness, knowledge and skills of students - future specialists in the construction and transport industries.
