Satbayev University hosted a round table dedicated to Independence Day
On November 30, Satbayev University hosted a student round table dedicated to Independence Day on the topic: "The idea of Alash and the Independence of the country". The Department of Social Sciences, which organized a round table, opened a discussion on the historical meanings of the movement to discuss the issues of independence and patriotism and their significance for the privacy of every person in the country.
The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev, in his article “Independence is the most expensive” wrote: “We learn from the leaders of Alash, who once set an example of serving the country. At the beginning of the last century, they did a great job to promote the idea of independence among the people and sacrificed their lives for freedom. As part of the anniversary of our independence, we must remember these outstanding people and show their legacy to our youth and the world”. It was this idea that formed the basis of the discussion during the round table.
Associate Professor of AUEC named after Gumarbek Daukeev, Candidate of Historical Sciences – Bolat Kabdushev; Associate Professor of KazNPU named after Abay – Yerkin Ermukhanov; and teachers of Satpayev University: Associate Professor Salkynbek Dosaly and Ermakhan Kalmyrzaev, and 1st year students of the specialty "Information Security" Leyla Yerzhankyzy, "Electrical Engineering and Automation" Olzhas Argynbay, who shared their research on the socio-political and educational activities of Alash representatives, and answered students' questions. A lively discussion took place during which the participants shared their views and concepts.
The most memorable was the speech of the deputy chairman of the historical and educational society "Adilet" writer Beibit Koishybayev, who presented his new book "Тәуелсіздік тамырлары" ("Roots of Independence").
At the end of the meeting, the moderator of the round table, Turlybek Tumabayev, summed up the results and thanked the speakers and the audience. On behalf of the university, the guests were presented with memorable gifts.
