Satbayev University hosted Dedication to students
For the first time in three years, Satbayev University hosted Dedication to Students.
Our students had the opportunity to take the first step into adulthood in a solemn atmosphere during the large-scale event at Baluan Sholak Sports Palace.
The event began with the ceremony with a minute of silence dedicated to the memory of departed friends, colleagues, scientists and other victims of Covid-19. Many of our friends, colleagues, scientists left during the previous difficult period; the university staff remembers everyone and is grateful to each of them.
Solemn concert began after the ceremony of handing over the student ID and the key of knowledge to freshmen from Ex-rector Dossym Sulyev and "Council of Elders’" Chairman Ulykpan Sydykov.
University’s vocal and instrumental ensemble began the congratulatory program with "Toi Zhyry" song and continued with "Make Sweet dreams" and "Feeling good" songs. The ensemble was joined by a choreographic ensemble, KVN team, a chamber choir, dombyra players’ ensemble and Kazakh stage’s guest stars.
Ceremony’s important part was the communication of first-year students with veterans of the oldest technical university of Kazakhstan, which has trained more than 100 thousand engineers for almost 90 years, especially of the legendary Dos-Mukassan ensemble members. In addition to congratulations, the students listened to a story about the famous graduates of Polytech, who wished the young students to succeed on their new path and glorify Polytech in the same way as Dos-Mukassan’s participants did.
In the solemn atmosphere, the first-year students swore to meet the high standards of engineers’ previous generations and received guidance from the hands of Abdygappar Ashimov, Bayan Rakishev and Zheksenbek Adilov.
University’s entire staff has joined in the congratulations, and wished the freshmen all the best! Make you sweet dreams come true and feel good!
