Satbayev University invites you to X Republican Student Subject Olympiad on Logistics

The University invites undergraduate students from all Kazakhstani universities studying transport services to take part in the National Logistics Olympiad in late April at Satbayev University.

The first stage will take place online, with the final to be held on 26 April at the Polytechnic in Almaty. Teams from different universities will solve logistical problems, developing out-of-the-box thinking and testing depth of knowledge.

In order to take part, a team of a maximum of 3 people must be assembled and an application form must be sent to n.toregalu@satbayev.university  (Toregali Nargiza) by 20 April 2023 (inclusive).

Application form (first round of the Olympiad, online):

1) Letter to the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of KazNITU named after K.I. Satpayev B.A. Zhautikov signed by the rector (vice-rector) of the university on the results of the 1st stage of the Olympiad or decision of the Academic Council of the university, which is executed with an extract from the minutes;

2) the list of teams for participation in the PSSO;

3) team essays on one of the topics:

• Development of transit corridors in the RK in modern conditions;
• Prospects for the development of transport and logistics services market in Kazakhstan;
• Factors to ensure the sustainability of the supply chain in Kazakhstan;
• Development of Kazakhstan's potential in Intralogistics 4.0.

Based on the results of the first round, teams are selected for the second round. The decision will be communicated to the participants at the e-mail address used for the application.

Second round (offline)

Team case solving and testing at the Olympiad in Almaty.

The second round of the Olympiad will start on 26th April 2023 at 9:00 in Almaty at Satbayev University.

Working languages of the Olympiad: Kazakh, Russian. The winners will be awarded with diplomas and certificates.

The rules of the Olympics:

• Number of teams – not more than 2 teams from university (1 team with Kazakh language of instruction and/or 1 team with Russian language of instruction);
• The team size limit should not exceed 3 people;
• The right to nominate candidates for the competition is provided by the Academic Council of the university where they study.
• Only full-time undergraduate students in years 1-4 are eligible to participate;
• the list of companion members must be approved by the Academic Council of the institution in which the students are studying;
• participants finance their own participation in the competition.
