Satbayev University is continuing the collaboration with EOS
Representatives of EOS GmbH and Norm Holding visited Satbayev University to discuss further steps to work within the framework of the cooperation agreement between SU and EOS signed in January this year in Munich, Germany. Messrs. Markus Glasser (EOS GmbH, Germany) and Araz Ceyhun (Norma Holding, Turkey) met with University’s Rector Meiram Begentayev and took a tour of the university.
EOS GmbH is a world leader in additive manufacturing and industrial 3D printing of metals and plastics, sales and service offices in 15 countries, 75 sales partners in 50 countries, a total of 3,750 systems installed in 68 countries. The staff consists of more than 1300 people worldwide, the chief executive officer is Marie Langer.
At the moment, EOS is planning to launch Scientific and Innovative Competence Center in Kazakhstan, which will be engaged in technology transfer and will train Kazakhstani engineers to work with EOS technologies. Center will also launch the production of high-tech components for the automotive, aerospace, engineering, oil and gas industries and medicine. Satbayev University will be a partner of the given project.
Company also is planning to develop the activities in Kazakhstan to study polymers that can be used in producing the industrial-scale 3D printers. The given project’s potential in the future will allow creating the food industry in Kazakhstan with manufacturing the products with high added value, which can compete in the world market.
