Satbayev University Students watched the opening ceremony broadcast of “The Youth Year”
The ceremony was held in “Nur Alem” pavilion of EXPO-2017 exhibition complex with the participation of the state Head Nursultan Nazarbayev. More than 400 students of Satbayev University were in the university assembly hall. Before the broadcast start, students began changing avatars on WhatsApp to “The Youth Year” logo.
At the opening ceremony of “The Youth Year”, the number of participants comprised Government members, RK Parliament deputies, officials of local executive organ, members of Youth Policy Council under RK President, winners of “100 new names” contest, “Bolashak” program graduates, young scientists, young creators and working youth, young athletes, gifted children, also, representatives of modern media sphere, pupils and graduates of orphanages, young people with special needs, young servicemen, etc.
“The new generation of Kazakhstani people whom I see, is the greatest achievement of Kazakhstan, the greatest result of my work, as of the state Head. I am very happy to meet with you today and congratulate you on “The Youth Year”of Kazakhstan,”said the Head of our state in his speech at “The Youth Year. Independence Generations” opening ceremony. The President reminded the assembled youth that at present all spheres of life were subject to significant changes - education, work, family and "even the way we communicate”, all that would drastically change development trajectory of the whole world and Kazakhstan as well.
“Before our eyes, a new global civilization is emerging with a digital society and economy of knowledge. When my generation were schoolchildren, we did not even have a television set, especially in villages. Just radio appeared but there were no mobiles. Now everything changes in every 10 years. Therefore, our country must meet these challenges,”said the President.
At the opening ceremony, “the bright and creative representatives of young people who had achieved success in various spheres” held their speech; successful projects and new products implemented by Kazakhstani youth were presented as well. The speech of the State Head was a clear testimony of the fact that care about young generations, about young Kazakhstani people’s present and future has always been the crucial focus of his policy.
After Elbassy’s appeal, the youth of the country and Satbayev University students made sure again that the state pays great attention to younger generations, especially to education.
The youth attentively listened to every word, delving into what was said. After all, the changes sounded by Elbassy will refer to each of them. At the end of the forum, everyone was already sharing their impressions, opinions and ideas.
