Satbayev University together with Kazakhstan Institute for Standardization and Metrology held a conference dedicated to quality
On November 10, International scientific and practical Conference on "Trends in development of quality in modern conditions" theme was held at Satbayev University. The conference was timed to coincide with World Quality Day — an annual event that is held in many countries of the world on the second Thursday of November. Quality Day date is unique for each year. In 2022, this date is November 10. The purpose of the given Day is to advance the significance of high quality products and services.
University’ Rector Meiram Begentayev opened the conference with the speech dedicated to Satbayev University’s new programs in the field of standardization, certification and metrology. A new laboratory furnished with equipment from KazStandart was opened at the university, 32 people enrolled in the new educational program of Bachelor.
Chairperson of Technical Regulation and Metrology Committee at Trade and Integration Ministry Kuanysh Yelikbayev, General Director of Kazakhstan Institute for Standardization and Metrology Gabit Mukhambetov and Chairperson of Board of Consumers’ National League in Kazakhstan Svetlana Romanovskaya attended the conference. The participants were acquainted with University’s Exhibition of scientific and technical achievements and went to three breakout sessions of the event: "Product circulation", "Quality Management", "Quality of education. Training of personnel. Employment". After the reports and discussions, prizes were awarded by KazStandart, and Satbayev University organized an excursion for the guests of the university.
"Trends in development of quality in modern conditions" conference was the first step towards improving our industry efficiency. In 2022, the requirements for product quality in Kazakhstan were increased, because it is not only about the safety of goods for humans and environment, but also on satisfaction degree with consumers’ requests and expectactations. Modern production requires precise measurements at nanoscale, and Kazakhstan is doing everything to ensure such quality.
The quality of products depends not only on the work of engineers who develop and manufacture machines and goods, but also on the accuracy of measurements that ensure the result. The opening of "KazStandard Academy" on the basis of Satbayev University together with Kazakhstan Institute for Standardization and Metrology in July of this year was a step towards improving the accuracy of measurements, and, consequently, to improve the quality reputation of Kazakh products on the world market.
