Satbayev University was visited by CEO of Coursera

On June 12, a meeting was held at Satbayev University between Jeff Majionkalda, CEO of Coursera, Bibin Shivas, Customer Relations Director in APAC region, and Meiram Begentayev, Rector of Satbayev University. The meeting was also attended by Director of Automation and Information Technology Institute Raissa Uskenbayeva and her deputies.

The issues of further cooperation between Coursera and Satbayev University were discussed and the results of introducing the Coursera into University’s educational process were summed up at the meeting.

“Coursera” is the largest international open online education platform that offers online courses and specializations from more than 200 leading universities and educational institutions around the world.

Coursera educational platform hosts the most popular courses with the unique virtual environment of more than 210 leading universities in the world (Stanford, Columbia, Duke, Yale etc.), as well as foremost global companies that are leaders in their industries (Google, IBM, Microsoft etc.).

Coursera provides access to more than 123 million students from 200 countries to more than 10 thousand training courses in a wide range of different disciplines. Thanks to this, the platform has become the most popular and most authoritative platform in the world.

During the academic year 2022-2023, more than 450 students of Satbayev University successfully completed their studies and received their certificates. 423 of them are Bachelor's students and 77 are Master’s and doctoral students.

At the end of the meeting, Rector Meiram Begentayev presented the guests with commemorative products.
